Short stuff: I'm quaqo AKA Federico Quagliata (linux registered user #263663 ). I'm from Rome (Italy) and I like to play guitar and piano. I'm involved with Linux and free software and I love motorcycles.

I'm a Bachelor student in Managerial Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome.

I'm interested in programming, mathematics and cryptography. I'm involved in the free software comunity.

My operating system is Arch Linux, an i686-optimized GNU/Linux distribution targeted at competent Linux users (read: not afraid of the commandline).

My main machine is an HP dv6162 laptop named pika. It's an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 with 2GB of RAM. It runs a custom GNU/Linux 2.6 kernel and is the #341187 linux registered machine.

I was member of the (now closed) LugRoma (Rome Linux User Group) since late 2001.

I'm member of Alcool, a one-rule mailing list (“what's on Alcool shouldn't be taken too seriously or personal”) once part of the LugRoma. As AlcoolUG (Alcool user group) we had some initiatives like a free “introductory” course on GNU/Linux and Free Software.

I randomly play lead guitar and piano/keyboards in bands that will eventually split… It's the same old story…
Besides this, I'm a really music addicted, and I even composed some songs, though nothing special…

I didn't study music, and I can't read music sheets: I just play and learn songs by ear… I learnt playing piano and guitar on my own 'cause we had pianos/keyboards and guitars at home.

In the past I've been member of Pepperland the official Italian Beatles fun club.

I own an upright piano, a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, a Yamaha EG112 electric guitar, Yamaha CPX-5BL electroacoustic guitar, and a classic 6-string acoustic guitar.
